Wanderlust.

/ˈwändərˌləst/ noun

a strong desire to travel.

Why traveling is important?

There is nothing wrong with traveling whether with company or all by your self. Traveling makes you happy more than any material thing. Traveling also let you experience different cultural diversity which will later on help understander their different cultural practices and traditions. Traveling will also help you savor the best food around the globe.

  1. You might learn a new language. Whether it’s just a few words or you decide to go fluent, travel is the best excuse to learn a new language. Once you’re immersed in a new destination, you’ll be surprised at just how fast your language skills develop with everyday interactions.  You might learn a new language.
  2. It gets you out of your comfort zone. Whether you travel independently or as part of an organized tour or volunteer placement, you’re stepping into a completely new world that may be well out of your comfort zone. Perhaps you’ve never traveled alone before or being around people other than your close family and friends makes you feel intimidated. But once you take the plunge, you’ll probably be surprised at the transformation that takes place. Chances are you’ll find a confidence you never knew you had and be able to take on challenges you never would have tackled previously.
  3. It puts life perspective. If you’ve grown up with all the comforts of the modern world and had the opportunity to go to school or even university, it’s easy to forget that this isn’t the case for everyone in the world. Traveling to other countries, particularly those in the developing world, can be a big wake up call and put your own life in perspective. Things that you may take for granted, like having running hot water, modern appliances and the opportunity to study and get a well-paid job at the end of it are not available to everyone, purely because of where they were born. You’ll probably come away with a new appreciation for everything you have and the opportunities that life throws your way.

Fashion.

/ˈfaSHən/noun

  1. a popular trend, especially in styles of dress and ornament or manners of behavior

Wearing what you want is one of the best feeling in life. Wearing fancy or casual dresses, or in short– your style, defines what and who you are. Fashiom also reflects every culture in this world.

Importance of fashion

More than self-expression, fashion is a mean of self-empowerment and confidence. My clothes would change something within me – sometimes I will feel more comfortable, confident with myself because I am wearing a specific pair of shoes or an outfit. Go on shopping to find new outfits is to me self-care time and I can pampered myself. I feel very satisfied whenever I wear something I truly like, I feel good in it and it helps me to build my confidence and my self-esteem. The best in fashion for me: I am who I am, I show to the world who I am and I feel more confident about it .

People are going to judge you regardless, you may as well be partially in control of that judgment. That doesn’t mean you have to dress well, you can dress like a bum if you want, I certainly do sometimes. But at least it’s my liberty to make that decision for myself that I find valuable.

Other reasons include respect. If you’re meeting your girlfriends parents for the first time you should probably dress for the occasion. Or going to a metal concert, or for ice cream, or to the bank to get a loan. Appropriate dressing is our uniform for a well received life.

Anybody on here who says they don’t give a shit about what they wear, go google normcore because you’re participating in fashion if you wear clothes period, there’s no escaping it.

Food.

/fo͞od/noun

  1. any nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink or that plants absorb in order to maintain life and growth.

Most people, especiallly Filipinos, if the food is tasty even though it is nutritious or not they will eat it. Because aside from it satifies their cravings, it also gives them comfort. Food makes grumpy people back to normal. LOL!

How food affects your mood

What we eat, especially foods that contain chemical additives and ultra-processed foods, affects our gut environment and increases our risk of diseases. Ultra-processed foods contain substances extracted from food (such as sugar and starch), added from food constituents (hydrogenated fats), or made in a laboratory (flavor enhancers, food colorings). It’s important to know that ultra-processed foods such as fast foods are manufactured to be extra tasty by the use of such ingredients or additives, and are cost effective to the consumer. These foods are very common in the typical Western diet. Some examples of processed foods are canned foods, sugar-coated dried fruits, and salted meat products. Some examples of ultra-processed foods are soda, sugary or savory packaged snack foods, packaged breads, buns and pastries, fish or chicken nuggets, and instant noodle soups.

Researchers recommend “fixing the food first” (in other words, what we eat) before trying gut modifying-therapies (probiotics, prebiotics) to improve how we feel. They suggest eating whole foods and avoiding processed and ultra-processed foods that we know cause inflammation and disease.
